More than just scenery
Our key task is to create not just a beautiful picture but a functional filming space. A set that is awkward for the animator is just a toy. Our sets are a professional tool.
1
Designed for the animator
We design the structure in advance so that you have easy access to the characters from any point.
2
Convenient for the camera operator
Removable walls, collapsible elements and special technical openings let you place the camera to shoot from any angle.
3
Interactivity and life in the frame
On request we can make any detail “working”: opening doors and windows, pull-out drawers, glowing lanterns and fireplaces.
4
Any style and scale
We are not limited to one style and can adapt to any artistic task, whether it is a realistic interior, a fantasy landscape or a city street.
How we work: from idea to the film set
1
Concept and technical brief
At this stage we are your main allies. You bring the idea, sketches and references. Together we discuss the style, the scale and, most importantly, the action scenario. How will the puppets move? Where will the camera shoot from? The answers to these questions form the basis of the future project.
2
Technical design
Based on the brief we create a “blueprint” of the set. We plan the layout and construction of removable walls, the mechanics of opening elements, and places for hidden puppet and light mounts. We choose materials that best convey the required texture and style.
4
Assembly on site
We deliver the set to your film set disassembled and do the final assembly in the presence of the director and the camera operator. We show all the technical capabilities of the set and, if necessary, make final colour adjustments “for the camera”.
Transparent pricing
Every set is unique and its cost is calculated individually. To help you get your bearings, here are the key factors that affect the final price:
Scale and dimensions
— The physical size of the location.
Level of detail
— The number of small details, props and furniture.
Interactive elements
— The number of “working” parts (doors, windows, lights and so on).
Complexity of textures
— Imitation of complex surfaces (water, stone, fire, aged materials).
Technical nuances and our responsibility
1
Assembly and delivery
We deliver sets to the client disassembled and always assemble them on site in the presence of the camera operator and the director, so that every nuance is taken into account.
2
Adjustment “for the camera”
We understand that colour in real life and on camera can differ. Final colour corrections and fitting are done directly on the film set.
3
Repair and support
If you are in Moscow, we can come to carry out repairs. For projects in other cities we are always in touch with your in-house artist for consultation and help with repairs.
4
Revision policy
All significant changes made to the project after it has been approved (adding a window, moving a wall) are considered additional work and are priced separately in cost and time.
5
Storage
Please note that we do not provide set storage services after the project is finished.
